Job SummaryWe are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Police Officer Trainee. As a trainee, you will attend an approved Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) basic police academy for comprehensive training.

To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Be at least 20 years old

- Hold a valid Michigan driver's license
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Meet the minimum standards for employment issued by MCOLES
As a Police Officer Trainee, you will be exposed to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, noise, and potentially hazardous situations. You must also possess the physical health, strength, and agility necessary to meet the demands of police work.
Please note that successful completion of the basic academy and meeting the minimum entrance qualifications for a Deputy Sheriff position are required for promotion to this role.
