Instrumentation and Controls Designer

SSOE, Inc. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Controls Designer to join our team. As an I&C Designer, you will have the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for leading companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and design complete systems or sub-systems that meet project scope and customer requirements.
  • Analyze sketches, notes, and input materials to determine the best approach for preparing drawings.
  • Perform routine design calculations for review by the project engineer/architect and prepare layouts.
  • Design projects that include establishing instrument locations, instrument loop diagrams, cable sizing, and schematics for power, control, and shutdown circuits.
  • Work under supervision with occasional checks during progress and review upon completion.
  • Perform field inspections and provide technical services for construction, equipment installation, or modifications.
  • Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all projects.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering or architectural fields preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit required.
  • Demonstrated Instrumentation and Controls design or engineer experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and verbal communication.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000+/year, depending on location, education, experience, and certifications.
