About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to join our team at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests.
Salary
This role comes with a competitive starting salary of $21.77 per hour, including a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.57 per hour. With a strong focus on employee well-being, we strive to provide our team members with a supportive environment and opportunities for growth.
Job Description
As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of residential guest rooms. Your duties will include making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning showers, toilets, and floors. You will also perform daily room turnover for approximately six rooms and conduct deep cleaning tasks between classes. Additionally, you will restock room items and replace used towels with clean ones to ensure guest comfort.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. You must also have physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary. Furthermore, you should be able to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of chemicals and products. A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is preferred, along with at least one year of experience. Holding a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
