Job Title: UX Designer - Employee Experience Innovator
About the Role:
Tesla is seeking a skilled UX Designer to join our team and drive innovative employee experiences. As a key member of our design organization, you will be responsible for researching and designing cutting-edge employee experiences that push the boundaries of what is possible. You will work closely with product managers, content managers, engineers, and global partners to conceptualize, design, and implement best-in-class employee software that enhances Tesla's employee experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Research and define UX strategy to contribute to the overall product and design direction from concept to implementation
• Develop creative and innovative design solutions for employee experiences that cater to diverse employee needs and requirements
• Measure the performance of designs and iterate to improve them as needed
• Collaborate with engineers and other partners in a highly collaborative environment to build relationships and trust with stakeholders and leaders
• Present work to partners, stakeholders, and senior leaders regularly
• Define and share Tesla UX design standards and guidelines to advocate for consistency across team members and partners
Requirements:
• Degree in the study of design with a strong portfolio showcasing user experience, visual design, and UI work
• 5+ years of experience designing interactive applications for web with excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills
• Customer-focused with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-stress iterative design process under minimal supervision
