{"Job Title": "Speech-Language Pathologist", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients/patients/residents with various speech problems and swallowing disorders.

Your key responsibilities will include assessing clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses. You will provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatments accordingly.

In addition, you will instruct clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises, provide consultation for clients/patients/residents working through speech and language treatment processes, and ensure all speech and language-related standards, policies, protocols, and quality requirements are met.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. You will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.

You will also be expected to participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health. You may be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.

**Requirements:**

* Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
* Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist
* When working at a Sanford Health Facility (not required but preferred by GSS Facilities): Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
* When applicable, may require valid driver's license
* Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
* Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
