Position Overview

The Control and Autonomous Systems Engineering Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking an Autonomous Systems Innovation Engineer to support our group's innovation within the field of autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions in autonomy and robotics
  • Collaborate with our team to drive advancements in autonomous systems
  • Design and implement robust systems in various environments

Requirements

  • M.S. or B.S.+5 yrs experience in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field with dedicated coursework in robotics, control theory, and programming
  • Strong programming skills in a systems language (e.g., C++ or Rust), a numerical analysis language (e.g., Julia, MATLAB, or Python), and a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, or Lua). Experience developing software with ROS/ROS2 in Linux environments is desired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coherently convey complex technical details
  • Prior internship experience within the field of robotics or autonomous systems is highly desired

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
