Under the supervision of experienced investigators, you will investigate alleged or suspected violations of Federal, state, or local laws, rules, and regulations. Your findings will determine whether evidence is sufficient to recommend prosecution or to report findings to the appropriate jurisdictional authority for their action.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with other authorities on activities such as surveillance, transcription, and research. You will conduct background investigations, internal investigations of law enforcement agencies, and examine records to locate links in the chain of evidence or information.

You will obtain and verify evidence by interviewing and observing suspects and witnesses, analyzing records, and obtaining information related to cases. Your reports will detail investigation findings, and you will identify case issues and evidence needed.

You will utilize proper software programs to store, collate, and review financial information and evidence.

In addition to your investigative work, you will perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
* Meet the prerequisites and complete the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program certification
* Two years of experience in law enforcement or a related field and Georgia P.O.S.T. certification
