About the Role

The Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicle Maintenance Technician will be primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, overhauling engines and transmissions, and training other mechanics. This role is essential to the efficient operation of our fleet, contributing to the uninterrupted distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and brake systems
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle safety features, including air brakes and steering mechanisms
  • Conduct thorough documentation of work orders through our online Enterprise Asset Management system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
