Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Job Summary

DMAX-LTD is seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to provide technical support for plant manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical concepts, including pneumatics and hydraulics, and be able to read blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock and anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson status or equivalent experience of 6 years.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical concepts.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work any shift assignment, including weekends and overtime as scheduled.
  • Ability to work in industrial environment, stand on concrete floors, and use standard tools associated with the mechanical profession.
