Supplemental Occupational Therapist Role at Memorial Hermann

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Supplemental Occupational Therapist to join our acute care therapy team at Memorial Hermann Health System in Sugar Land. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that includes minimum shift expectations of 2 weekend shifts per month and 1 weekday shift per month.
Job SummaryThe Supplemental Occupational Therapist will assess patients, develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results, and provide advanced occupational therapy treatments. They will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide advanced occupational therapy treatments and interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Motivate and instruct patients/caregivers using evidence-based practices
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners license required
- Minimum one year of experience in occupational therapy preferred
- Demonstrated ability to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Memorial Hermann Health System offers a competitive salary range for this role, estimated to be between $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
