Atrium Health Mercy, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team in a weekend shift role. With over 100 years of history, Atrium Health Mercy has established itself as a leader in providing high-quality patient care and advanced medical services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, and maintaining knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.

We offer a competitive salary range of $68,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, opportunities for career advancement, and a sign-on bonus.

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist I performs MRI scans and assists physicians/PA during invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
  • CPR certification required.
