About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Intakes and Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostic intakes, treatment plans, and notes, goals, and objectives to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe medication under the supervision of the Medical Director/Psychiatrist, assessing and reviewing medication regimens with patients, guardians, team members, and other care providers/advocates.
  • Clinical Inquiries and Consultations: Process clinical inquiries, such as prescription renewals, laboratory requests, and provide individual and family case consultations to address client needs.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records according to regulatory standards and ensure compliance with all applicable nursing protocols, regulations, and licensing standards.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Currently registered by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, master's degree in nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school, and two years of full-time supervised clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting.
  2. Licensure and Certification: Federal DEA number and MA prescriber registration number for prescribing privileges.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an outpatient setting, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours). The physical demands of this role require occasional climbing of stairs, lifting/moving up to 20 pounds, normal range of eyesight, and hearing.
