Dietary Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Longwood. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents by preparing and serving nutritious meals that meet their dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food for residents in accordance with their dietary specifications and facility procedures.
• Read production orders on diet cards to determine items to place on trays.
• Place items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays.
• Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages.
• Examine filled trays for completeness and quality assurance of food tray.
• Pull carts to dining room or halls and serve trays to residents.
• Collect and stack dirty dishes on cart and return cart to kitchen.
• Store food and supplies properly.
• Wash dishes and clean work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
• Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers.
• Record amount and type of special food items served to residents.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided.
• Great communication and people skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Available to work shifts and on weekends.
