Job Summary
Understands and manages the day-to-day operations of the HR function of the office.
Manages employee relations documentation and conducts investigations as needed.
Responsible for handling highly confidential information and ensures company standards and legal compliance are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with VP of Operations on roll out of new people initiatives and programs, completing training materials and conducting training for employees.
- Responsible for all core HR processes and tools including, training needs, and strategies to reduce employee turnover and improve the employee experience; and supporting ongoing business needs for the HR team.
- Foster positive employee relations throughout the company and ensure that employee questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manages and conducts all employee onboarding, manages the performance management program, and manages and conducts all employee offboarding.
- Manages benefits and all decisions regarding leave (ADA, FMLA, USERRA, personal, etc.)
- Assist in providing thoughtful leadership and influence in the design and delivery of HR solutions.
- Provides advice and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations matters; partnering with the leadership team and managing employee relations, contributing to overall employee engagement.
- Analyzes, interprets, and enforces HR related policies and procedures.
- Provides and manages training to employees for benefits enrollment, sexual harassment prevention, OSHA 10/30, etc.
- Works together with Safety Manager to implement safety training for the company.
Requirements
At least 2 in an HR leadership role, experience in construction preferred.
Human Resources or Business Management or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Diverse human resources background with experience including, but not limited to; employee relations, benefits and compensation, training, compliance, and recruitment.
- Significant employee relations experience at a decision-making level, including experience conducting investigations, coaching, counseling, and handling complaints.
- Outstanding project management skills delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment
- HR software (HRIS - ADP and BambooHR) and recruitment software (ATS) knowledge and experience.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to manage complex projects independently.
