Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Immunotherapy Research Scientist within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ).

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biological Sciences or related areas and expertise in immunological assays, molecular biology, gene transfer methods, and animal models.

This senior-level position is available to conduct research on tumor immunology with a focus on the discovery and development of T cell therapy for cancer, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and gene-engineered T cells.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting multidisciplinary research in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy
  • Preparing written reports of research experiments
  • Giving oral presentations of research findings
  • Preparing grant proposals based on research conducted

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with detailed knowledge of T cell biology, tumor immunology, antigen presentation, T cell receptors, tumor antigens, and immunotherapy.

A basic knowledge of bioinformatics processes for genomic and transcriptomic research is also preferred.
