Your expertise in preoperative assessment and recovery care will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and safe experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to identify potential risks and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide exceptional care to patients during the recovery process, monitoring their vital signs and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Deliver high-quality education to patients and their families on pre and post-surgery care, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the Charge Nurse.
  • Complete required quality and maintenance logs, including blanket fluid warmer, generator log, and eye wash station.
  • At the end of each day, clean and prepare equipment for the next day's surgeries.
  • Report supply needs and low inventory levels to the Charge Nurse.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government laws, rules, regulations, AAOA, and Company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the practicing state.
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS required; PALS preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in PACU is required.
