Job Title: MRI Technologist Travel Position

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Job Description:

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed, and per protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
