Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Non-CDL Driver to join our team at National Express LLC. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route, ensuring timely and safe transportation of students and passengers.
  • Report to duty on time and maintain a safe and efficient route, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Physically assist passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Immediately report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate personnel, following company protocol.
  • Follow company policy regarding student and/or passenger management, ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all.
  • Inform all relevant personnel of problems or procedures, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
  • Present a neat and professional personal appearance at all times, reflecting positively on the company.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including route change sheets, time cards, and vehicle repair requests, submitting them to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers, promoting company goodwill and a positive work environment.
  • Safely and efficiently utilize vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment, adhering to company standards and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (25 years of age for Tennessee School Bus Drivers), meeting the minimum age requirement for the position.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to operate company vehicles.
  • Must meet physical and medical requirements, passing substance abuse screening and satisfactorily completing all training programs.
  • Must practice defensive driving at all times, avoiding vehicular and industrial accidents by following safe driving and work habits.
  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific driver requirements.
