Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish meets our quality expectations.

This is a full-time position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will be working closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to prepare meals for our guests, ensuring that every dish is presented to the highest standard.

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

You will also be responsible for testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, monitoring food quality while preparing food, and setting up and breaking down work stations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• The ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

$42,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.
