Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team in a school district in Garfield Heights, Ohio. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders, evaluate and diagnose communication disorders, and develop treatment plans.

  • Full-time position
  • Caseload will be discussed during the interview
  • Onsite work during the school year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and assessments
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
  • Attend meetings and provide reports on student progress
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Ohio State SLP License
  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
