Job Summary:

The AV Field Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful configuration, deployment, and commissioning of AV systems. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills and a deep understanding of audio-visual system operation and design. The ideal candidate will have a professional approach and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Review: Collaborate with the design team to ensure systems meet design specifications.
In-House Quality Assurance: Plan, organize, and set up a full system mock-up, test system functionality, and document redlines and quality assurance paperwork.
Field Commissioning: Perform site inspections, run through system operation, and troubleshoot issues. Coordinate with project foremen and AV programmers as needed.
System Walkthrough and Acceptance: Complete commissioning checklist paperwork, walk through systems with end users, and document punch list items.
Training and Closeout: Provide on-site end user training, technical training for end user technical teams, and review close-out documentation.

Requirements:

5+ years of AV installation, commissioning, and service experience.
Technical school certification or community college preferred.
Superior problem-solving skills, knowledge of Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and QSC, and experience with AV industry software and platforms.
Network troubleshooting and deployment experience, organized and proactive, and ability to read and understand design drawings.
Valid driver's license and ability to lift 75 pounds.
