Key Responsibilities:
- Nutrition Screening: Conduct thorough nutrition screenings of in-house patients within 48 hours of admission, accurately completing assessment forms and re-assessments as per protocol.
- Diet Counseling: Provide personalized diet counseling to patients, tracking those who require diet instructions and educating them on their diets, as well as providing discharge information on the diet.
- Calorie Counts: Conduct accurate calorie counts, recording % of food eaten at meals in patient rooms and calculating calorie counts in a timely fashion.
- Meal Rounds and Test Trays: Conduct meal rounds and test trays per protocol, ensuring patients receive the necessary nutrition support.
- Room Service Program: Accurately monitor patient choices to diet restrictions and assist patients with menu selection on restricted diets, such as protein restrictions, gluten-free diets, and low-sodium diets.
