Sleep Technologist

At Elliot Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Sleep Technologist to join our team in a per diem capacity. As a Sleep Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sleep studies as per physician orders
- Score sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, and nocturnal myoclonus
- Apply and adjust PAP according to procedure manual
- Respond to medical emergencies during sleep studies
- Calibrate and maintain sleep monitoring equipment
- Develop and maintain communication with physicians
- Interview patients and document relevant data
- Maintain accurate records of sleep studies and results
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of sleep lab experience preferred
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or ability to pass exam within one year
