Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition
  • Reducing medication errors through adherence to established procedures
  • Providing patient care that meets specific standards for geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients
  • Assisting with patient assessment and reassessment under the supervision of the R.N.
  • Performing timely and accurate QI assessments under the supervision of the R.N.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans that address patient needs and responses to treatment
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
  • CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • IV Certification required or obtained within 6 months (highly preferred)
  • Minimum six months' experience in a Medical/Surgical setting, preferably in an acute care environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Estimated annual salary: $63,000 - $75,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
