About the Role

Meade Engineering, Inc. is a leading engineering firm that specializes in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for data center builders, cloud providers, and developers of large construction projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer with a background in Plumbing Design to join our Mechanical design team. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our team, working on a variety of projects including data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and document production of mechanical and plumbing systems for various projects
  • Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications, select equipment, mechanical systems, and devices
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, prepare record drawings, conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in commissioning work
  • Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Skills in HVAC design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software, etc.
  • Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in BIM, CFD, Energy Modeling, or other advanced tools and methods for HVAC design and analysis
  • Certification from ASHRAE, LEED, or other relevant organizations
  • Experience in green building or energy efficiency projects, such as LEED, ENERGY STAR, or USGBC
  • Commissioning experience
  • Active PE License
  • Plumbing design experience
