Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at LifeScience Logistics. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency issues at the facility, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Manage facility maintenance and repair activities, including scheduling and assigning tasks to contractors.
  • Develop and maintain energy management systems to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Provide direction to contractors on facility health and safety requirements and oversee vendor activities on premises.
  • Review and analyze maintenance management systems to schedule preventive and on-demand work.
  • Develop and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate materials are available for maintenance activities.
  • Generate work orders and reports to ensure timely completion of maintenance requirements.
  • Initiate and enforce safety compliance programs with contractors.
  • Manage security, alarm, and fire suppression/detection systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, including plumbing, lighting, housekeeping, and HVAC maintenance.
Qualifications and Job Specifications
  • Associate degree with three to five years of facility maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, refrigeration systems, and plumbing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high level of customer service acumen.
  • Ability to communicate with staff and provide reports using Microsoft Office Suite.
Technical Knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated skills or licensing/certification in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration systems, electrical, and automated building systems.
  • Ability to maintain and track budget/spending trends.
Additional Employment Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

Work is light to medium in nature, with frequent walking and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. May require working at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts/boom lifts.

Equipment Operated
  • Laptop computer, cell phone, copier, and desk phone.
  • At times, may be required to utilize a forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift/boom lift.
