Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Technician - Route Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CBRE. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians to work independently with limited supervision.

About the Role

As a Commercial HVAC Technician - Route Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of HVAC equipment and building systems across multiple buildings within a designated route. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that their facilities operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, order necessary materials and supplies, and use CMMS to handle work orders and track completion
  • Responsible for installation and modification of building equipment systems, inspecting new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of HVAC roof top units (RTU's) and package units
  • Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by clients
  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors
  • Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum
  • Maintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of refrigeration experience, or equivalent school and experience. Prior RTU and refrigeration experience is preferred. Additionally, you must possess EPA 608 / CFC Certification and a valid driver's license with a good driving record. You should also be able to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck.
