About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Technician III- Structures- A shift - Launch Vehicle Assembly to join our team. This role will play a critical part in the assembly of our launch vehicles, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate components of our launch vehicles, including forward and aft modules, stages, and other hardware.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Perform complex tasks such as setup and operation of precision calibrated tools, calibration of equipment, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with diverse groups of professionals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined spaces.
  • Basic digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with hand drills, power feed drills, track drills, Jiffy/E-Tech tools, and knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for various materials.
  • Familiarity with clean as you go techniques and importance of general cleanliness in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage flight and non-flight hardware, with understanding of hole angularity and quality hole tolerances.
  • Industry certification, trade school training, or degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated success as a hands-on doer and/or leader, with ability to drive continuous improvement and optimize business processes.
