Family Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as a Family Engagement Specialist. This role is a crucial part of our school's commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Job SummaryThe Family Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster positive relationships between students, families, and the school community. This will involve working closely with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to ensure that students receive the support and resources they need to succeed academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop and implement family engagement plans that emphasize the connection between consistent family involvement and academic achievement.
- Identify student needs and align with District and community resources to provide targeted support and services.
- Coordinate parent groups within the school and participate in home visits to build relationships and provide support to families.
- Provide regular communication and outreach to families regarding culturally appropriate programming and events.
- Collaborate with outside community organizations to provide resources and support for students and families.
- Work with staff and parents to ensure the family engagement plan and Title I funds are in alignment with the school and District Unified Improvement Plan (UIP).
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in community service and outreach, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with at-risk and culturally diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
The salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
