We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team at the Oregon State Hospital, Salem Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide high-quality nursing care to individuals in a forensic psychiatric facility.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will administer medications as ordered by healthcare providers, develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care, complete assessments, and respond to emergent psychiatric situations. Additionally, they will supervise staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic milieu.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts and three consecutive days off. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience working in mental health, and ability to manage multiple job responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as ordered by healthcare providers
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care
  • Complete assessments and respond to emergent psychiatric situations
  • Supervise staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic milieu
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Oregon Professional Registered Nurse license in good standing
  • Experience working in mental health, conflict and crisis management, and leadership roles
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $93,000 - $108,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
