Production Scheduling Position

Ryerson offers a challenging opportunity for a Production Scheduler. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing production schedules for 10 work centers. Collaboration with the Regional Scheduling group and Commercial team ensures excellent customer service through on-time delivery goal achievement and promise date adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scheduling and coordinating processing equipment, sales, and other activities.
  2. Proper machine capacity and available work hours management.
  3. Interaction with shop floor operators for scheduling and production needs communication.
  4. Reviewing orders and processing instructions for compliance with job work instructions.
  5. Managing SAP transactions and reports for order completion.
  6. Reviewing ROAD performance data for areas of improvement identification.
  7. Reviewing orders for skid and PVC film requirements.
  8. Performing other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a scheduling type position is preferred.
  • Metal processing or manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success with MRP systems is preferred.
  • MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Root cause analysis skills with corrective action follow-up.
  • Superb organizational skills and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Track record of self-motivated, results-orientated team player.
  • Customer focused.
