Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team at Katmai. As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality behavioral health services to patients in primary care settings.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with healthcare providers to identify and address behavioral health issues in patients.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote mental well-being and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on managing mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance behavioral health services.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited program.
  • A current, unrestricted clinical license to practice social work in any state or U.S. territory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in independent clinical social work practice, preferably in a mental health setting working with adults.
  • Experience in brief behavioral interventions and a strong understanding of evidence-based therapies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
