Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing a variety of respiratory care procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine respiratory care procedures, including preparation, administration, and monitoring of medication and treatment modalities.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing of the cardiac respiratory system, as appropriate.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians and other healthcare professionals with respiratory care-related procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to standards and guidelines established by respiratory and regulatory agencies.
  • Promote a positive work environment and contribute to a dynamic, team-focused work unit.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers to facilitate providing the highest quality service.
  • Participate in practice projects focused on innovation, efficiency, or improvement in patient care and activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • One year experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
