Job Summary: Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Fairview Hospital team. As a member of our 5 North Medical-Surgical-Telemetry Unit, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, utilizing your expertise to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, implementing and monitoring care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
  • Evaluate and update patient care plans, revising as necessary to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Coordinate patient care with other disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated and effective care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following approved nursing protocols.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical study.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
