About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients who require psychiatric care and be able to work independently as part of a dynamic team.

Job Description

The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist will apply their knowledge and skills to plan and implement patient care plans, providing education and support to patients and families. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric needs.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that all aspects of care are met.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • Curent NY State RN License
  • Certifications: BLS, CPI or CPMT
  • Schedule: Day

The salary for this position is estimated at $120/hour, based on 36 hours per week and 12 hour shifts. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.
