Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, plan, and implement treatment plans addressing the functional needs of patients with various diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate subjective and objective data to establish a treatment plan.
  • Utilize exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address deficits.
  • Maintain thorough records of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
  • Communicate with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
  • Perform timely electronic documentation.
  • Participate in peer review feedback and demonstrate advanced evaluation and treatment techniques.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, and mentoring of new partners.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives within the department.
  • Take an active role in the performance improvement process.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and provide effective communication between speech language pathologists and the physician group.
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on speech language pathology and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology.
  • Licensed as a speech language pathologist in WI, IL, or both if required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • CPR/BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Additional Requirements:

  • Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
  • Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
  • Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Occupational Exposure:

Age of Patients Served:

Neonate (birth - 28 days), Infant (29 days - less than 1 year), Pediatric (1 year - 12 years), Adolescents (13 years - 17 years), Adult (18 years - 64 years), Geriatric (65 years and older).

Partner may access patient care information needed to perform their job duties.
