We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at Soliant in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with speech and language disorders.
About the RoleThis full-time position is responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapies to address a range of communication needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Conduct Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Implement Therapies: Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, focusing on speech, language, voice, and fluency development.
- Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom and home activities.
- Monitor Progress and Document Results: Regularly monitor and document students' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Certifications: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a School Speech-Language Pathologist License from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
- Clearances: Must pass a criminal background check and provide a current tuberculosis (TB) test clearance as required by North Carolina schools.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
