Overview

Norman Regional Health System stands out as a workplace excellence leader. The community hospital system, situated in the Oklahoma City metro area's southern border, boasts an innovative cardiovascular program. We seek knowledgeable and caring Registered Technologists to expand this program.

We are gearing up for a move to our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, featuring three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team collaborates with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
  2. Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
  3. Maintain a sterile environment.
  4. Professional Practice:
    1. Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
    2. Participate in the orientation of new staff.
    3. Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
    4. Develop strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications
  1. Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
  2. Finish all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
Education and Experience

Required qualifications include completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or a military program, eligibility for or current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), and RCIS certification. Previous procedural area experience is preferred.

Certification from recognized bodies like the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required. Additionally, Basic Life Support training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment. Advanced Life Support certification should also be completed within six months of hiring.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
