Essential Functions:

  • Provide routine nursing care and services in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the supervisor, for patients requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care.
  • Address patient and family needs under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with licensed personnel to discuss and communicate the care plan for each patient, addressing all identified needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of care provided to ensure integration of information for use by the healthcare team, guaranteeing quality care.


Qualifications:

  • A medical assistant background is preferred, but not required.
  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, is mandatory.
  • Patient confidentiality must be maintained, and assistance with ADLs, vital signs, etc. is expected.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Patient Care Technician certification is preferred, as is BLS certification upon hire.
