Residential Healthcare Professional

The Residential Registered Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our residents. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the physical and mental health of our residents, identifying and addressing any health concerns in a timely manner.
Implement medical procedures and administer medications as prescribed by our medical team.
Collaborate with our pediatrician, psychiatrist, and psychiatric nurse practitioner to address health care concerns and develop effective treatment plans.
Provide emergency first aid and notify our medical team of any acute illnesses or emergencies requiring immediate attention.
Arrange clinic appointments and medical referrals, ensuring that our residents receive the care they need.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including immunization records and ongoing medical charts.
Complete necessary medical reports for outside agencies or schools, as required.
Requirements
Registered Nursing Degree from a recognized accredited school of nursing.
Current registration and licensure in NY State as an RN.
Ability to relate well to children and other staff members, with a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Valid New York State Driver's License and continued automobile insurance.
Ability to deescalate and manage difficult behaviors of children, with a focus on providing safe and supportive care.
