Medical Assistant

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
• Assist healthcare providers and other team members in the clinic with various tasks and procedures.
• Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws.
• Measure patient vital signs, manage rooming and patient flow, and assist with front office activities and scheduling tasks.
• Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow and report test results as directed.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of experience in a medical office or clinic, or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant program.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) certification through the State of Washington, sponsored by CommonSpirit Health, required within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively present information to administrative and clinical staff, leaders, patients, and physicians.
