Production Technician

We are seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota.
About the Role:
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating computerized process systems, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the production of high-quality egg products. This is a dynamic role that requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Operate HTST processing system, CIP system, and record time, temperature, pressure, and flow rates as required by the company.
- Detect and report or act upon any system abnormality to reduce the risk of damage to the system or product.
- Understand how an aseptic system operates and maintain sanitation, bacterial control, and sterilization procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance repairs.
- Coordinate with the packaging lead person to ensure timely hook up and startup of the production line.
- Clean silos, mix room, totes, pumps, UHT press, and other equipment as needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CIP systems to ensure they are operating properly.
- Prepare written reports and maintain assigned logs, records, and other documentation required by the company and USDA.
- Maintain complete knowledge of mix room and equipment and blend mixed products using outlined mix procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
