The estimated salary range for this position is $21.00 - $27.81 per hour, based on the location in Long Beach, CA.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Support Specialist to join our team at MemorialCare Health System's Breast Center. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for performing various support functions, including transporting patients, maintaining clerical files, and providing reception services under the supervision of the Radiology Support Services Supervisor or lead technologist.

In addition to your administrative duties, you will also assist technical staff with direct patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing imaging procedures of diagnostically acceptable quality
  • Maintaining accurate records and files
  • Transporting patients as needed
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families

To be successful in this role, you will require strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you will need:

  • 6 months of experience in a radiology department clerical section
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Technical skills, including basic keyboard operation and proficiency with O2 tanks and patient beds
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills

You will also be required to obtain an American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate.
