Job Overview

Navy Exchange is seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a full range of plumbing duties, including installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing utility supply and disposal systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Receives blueprints for new projects and prepares sketch layouts of material breakdowns and fixtures to ensure compliance with federal and local plumbing codes.
  • Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility supply and disposal systems and equipment, such as sewage, water, water closets, oil fire sprinkler systems, tubs, gas distribution, and showers.
  • Lifts, carries, and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds, often working from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms in hard-to-reach places.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One year of experience performing basic plumbing work, such as repairing, modifying, or installing water utility supply and disposal equipment.
  • Familiarity with federal and local plumbing codes and the ability to perform work in conformance with these regulations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a variety of environments, including inside and outside locations that may be dirty, dusty, and greasy. You may also be required to work in bad weather conditions.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
