We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Ascentec Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate favorable contracts and terms with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Maximize inventory turns on purchased materials.
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Experience using procurement software and ERP systems.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long-term procurement strategies.
  • Effective communicator with proven interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with solid time-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $80k to $100k based on education and experience.
