About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 13-week local contract opportunity with a 40-hour workweek.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians during examinations and treatments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining patient flow and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
  • Documenting patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assisting with training new employees.
  • Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining a clean, fully supplied environment.
  • Ordering medical supplies as needed.
  • Completing patient assistance paperwork/requests.
  • Obtaining pertinent medical information from patients.
  • Responding to patient inquiries and communicating with insurance companies.
  • Performing routine diagnostic tests, administering vaccinations, phlebotomy, and cast removal as assigned.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR, and scheduling systems.
  • Strong verbal and social skills to facilitate working respectfully with patients, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and drug reps.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other physician offices as requested or needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field is preferred, particularly in primary care, specialty, EMT, or similar settings. Complementary clinical skills such as phlebotomy, performing EKGs, stiches removal, splinting, etc. are also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
