At Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, we are seeking a skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing essential services to students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in occupational therapy.

About the Role:

  • As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Experience in pediatric OT is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide occupational therapy services to students with special needs, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  3. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or related field is preferred.
  • New York State temporary permit* to practice OR current valid New York State license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric OT or related field.

  • A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on education and experience.
