Job Summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse to provide comprehensive primary, preventive, and therapeutic medical and nursing care to patients across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough health and developmental histories, perform physical examinations, and order laboratory studies as needed.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care protocols and policies.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current, active licensure as a professional nurse in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • Minimum one year of specialized experience in primary care, including direct patient care and counseling.
