Orthopaedic Technician Job Overview

At Southlake Orthopaedics, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Orthopaedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopaedic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient care duties, including scheduling, organizing patient flow, and assisting with exams and procedures.
  • Collecting patient history, documenting health information, and providing basic patient care as ordered by physicians.
  • Assisting with casting and splinting, wound dressing changes, and preparing injections.
  • Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre- and post-op appointments.
  • Providing excellent patient education and communicating with patients about physician advice and instructions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in an orthopaedic clinic is preferred.
  • Orthopaedic Technician or EMT license is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
