Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Program Coordinator to join our team at Stanford University. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and the ability to work independently under limited supervision.

The SMART scholar program is a complex coordination effort that requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Action on behalf of supervisors or department managers regarding establishing priorities and resolving administrative problems.
  • Oversee and/or perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex conferences, seminars, and events.
  • Compose and draft documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports.
  • Plan and schedule calendars with limited consultation, resolve calendaring conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies.
  • Create complex reports and spreadsheets utilizing specialized software and systems.

Requirements: Master's degree in education, healthcare administration, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in an academic medical setting; proficiency in data management and analysis tools; familiarity with academic medicine and faculty development programs; strong project management skills; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

Estimated Salary Range: $39.46 - $44.30 per hour. This estimate is based on the location and industry standards. At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
